In a mottled brownish pink quartz, probably aventurine quartz, domed lid mounted and hinged, narrow chased band with abstract wave motif, band on body with band of leaves in green gold, thin arched handle ending in snakes' tails at screws on body, two snakes' heads at top with open mouths holding two mounted pearls, one in front, one in back, thumb piece heart shaped, an emerald framed by diamonds.
